Argerie Tsimicalis is an Assistant Professor, Ingram School of Nursing, and Associate Member, Gerald Bronfman Department of Oncology, Faculty of Medicine, McGill University, and the inaugural Nurse Scientist at Shriners Hospitals for Children-Canada in Montreal. She is internationally recognized for her expertise in assessing the costs associated with a childhood illness in the family. In partnership with key stakeholders and patient organizations, Argerie seeks to help render these potentially catastrophic costs visible and to create programs, resources, and policies to help lessen their costs. She offers transdisciplinary training opportunities to undergraduate and graduate students through the McGill Global Health Programs. Prior to joining the Faculty at McGill University in 2012, she completed her PhD at the University of Toronto (2010) and postdoctoral training at Columbia University (2012).
