Karen Joe is a Knowledge and Research Advisor with the Centre for Affordable Water and Sanitation Technology (CAWST) where she supports clients to establish and execute monitoring and evaluation systems and research programs. She holds a Master’s degree in International Public Health and has extensive experience in international development and public health with a specific focus on improving health outcomes for women and children. She specializes in results-based management, program design, and gender equality and social inclusion. As an experienced evaluator, Karen has lived and worked across sub-Saharan African and the Asia-Pacific Region. She volunteers extensively within the global health sector, including as a member of the project review committee with the Fig Tree Foundation and as a returning mentor with the CSIH MentorNet program. She is passionate about advancing global health, expanding knowledge exchange opportunities, and supporting the development of the next generation of leaders.
